The Geo-Matrix Bold is Blake Medical's heavy duty gel cushion for bariatric use: three layers of 1" purple gel in a foam border over a closed-cell base, capped by a 1" green gel layer.

Who is it for?
- Blake builds the Bold for clients with a high risk of skin breakdown or existing pressure injuries, for limited mobility or postural control, and for clients who cannot reposition themselves. That is the maker's own description.
- It is a bariatric design, so it suits a larger user who needs a cushion that keeps its shape.
- Blake's current sheet and its older page do not give the same weight figure, so confirm the rating on the unit's label with our team before use.
What is inside it?
- Three layers of 1" (2.5 cm) purple gel sit in a supportive foam border over a closed-cell foam base, and one 1" (2.5 cm) green gel layer covers the top.
- The gel is free from phthalates and latex, Blake says it stays 2-3 degrees cooler than the seated body, and it can be recycled through the maker.
Which size do I order?
- This page sells the 20" by 20" build.
- Blake makes every dimension: its sheet lists stock sizes from 35x35 to 60x55 and builds any other size to order.
- Ask us to quote the size you need, and read our return policy first, because a custom cushion cannot come back.
Covers and care
- Two outer covers are offered: breathable Spacetex with incontinent protection, or an Elastatex soft touch outer cover. Inside, an Elastatex cover is wipeable, antibacterial and fluid proof.
- Machine wash the covers at 60 C, hang them to air dry and skip the bleach; wipe the gel and foam with a cleaner that has no bleach in it.
