Description
HealthCraft's Easy Mount L-shaped grab bar, model G125SK30X30F9, is a stainless rail bent to 90 degrees for a shower corner or a tub end. Each leg runs 30 in (76.2 cm) between flange centres, and the knurled grip helps wet hands hold on.
Will it fit your wall?
Each flange carries nine screw holes instead of the usual three, which helps when your studs are not where a plain bar wants them.
It still has to reach solid framing: the maker says this bar goes straight into studs, so a hollow-wall anchor will not fit and metal studs are out. Send a photo of the wall through contact us and we will say if blocking is needed.
Where does it go?
An L-shaped bar suits a corner: one leg vertical, the other horizontal along the back wall. The maker gives the recommended height for a horizontal bar as 33 in to 36 in (83.8 cm to 91.4 cm) above the floor.
Length is between flange centres, so allow a little more than 30 in (76.2 cm) of wall each way. Other sizes sit under bathroom safety.
How do you install it?
Eight stainless wood screws come in the box, and the flange covers slide off so you can mark the holes. Level the bar, drill pilot holes, then drive at least two screws through each flange.
Slide the covers back on and check the screws monthly, tightening any loose ones. Our service team can fit it if you would rather not.
What are the limits?
The maker rates this bar at 500 lbs (227 kg) of user weight on a sound wall. It is a steadying rail, not a hoist: the maker states it is not meant to carry full body weight, and it is for indoor use only.

Frequently asked questions
Where does an L-shaped bar work best?
In a corner, one leg vertical and the other along the back wall.
Can it go on drywall alone?
No. The maker says this bar has to reach wall studs.
How do I clean a stainless grab bar?
Warm water and mild soap. No abrasive or corrosive cleaners.
Does it need checking after it is fitted?
Yes. The maker asks for a monthly check of the screws.
Is the knurled grip hard on the hands?
It is a textured surface, made for a firmer hold with wet hands.
