Who is it for, and who should choose another surface?
Order one section when part of an existing BariMatt is worn. Joerns rates that mattress at 1000 lbs (454 kg).
- Joerns states a stage 2 indication for the complete BariMatt mattress, not for a spare section on its own. Bedsores is the everyday word. A nurse, doctor or therapist decides the surface.
- Cover-only parts, such as 105737-M, are a different order. See bariatric mattresses.
How does it work?
- Joerns has not published a parts chart for 105746, 105747, 105748 or 105750. Tell us the bed model and serial number and we confirm the section before you order.
Will it fit your bed?
The whole mattress is 6.5 inches thick, 36 to 48 inches wide, and 80 or 88 inches long.
- Use the lower of 1000 lbs and the bed's own limit.
- Recheck the rails after a section is changed. Health Canada flags gaps over 120 mm (4 3/4 in) in zones 1 to 3. See bariatric beds.
