Description
MK Deka DC27 Flooded Battery is a 90 Ah flooded solar MonoBloc cell from an older MK Deka maker sheet. It is not a sealed mobility battery.
Is this a sealed mobility battery?
No. MK Deka places DC27 in its vented flooded solar line and warns against sealed containers. The old scooter and chair claims are removed.
What must match the old battery?
The maker lists 12.50 x 6.75 x 9.38 inches and a U offset SAE post with threaded stud. Check the old label and mounting space; the Group number alone does not establish compatibility.
How many and how should they be charged?
This is a flooded battery that requires an application-appropriate charger and ventilation. The maker says never install it in a sealed container; do not use a scooter charger without the equipment and battery makers approving it.
Frequently asked questions
Is DC27 AGM or gel?
No. The MK maker sheet classifies it as a vented flooded lead-acid battery.
What terminal does it use?
A U dual terminal, with offset SAE post and threaded stud. Check cable ends before any installation.
Where can I recycle the old battery?
Take it to an Ontario lead-acid collection point, such as a Toronto hazardous-waste depot or Peel Community Recycling Centre.
