Description
The Premier One is Drive's general use foam cushion, the simplest cushion in the maker's range: three inches of aerated foam under a fluid resistant stretch top, with a waterproof vinyl underside against the seat pan. This page is the 16 in by 16 in size.

Will it fit your seat?
- The cushion is 16 in wide, 16 in deep and 3 in high, which suits a standard wheelchair seat pan.
- Drive builds the same cushion in five other sizes from 14 in by 16 in up to 22 in by 18 in, so if your seat is wider or deeper, ask us for that size.
- There is no pump, valve or adjustment: it sits straight on the seat pan and comes off again for cleaning or for another chair.
How does it stay in place?
- Two 12 in tie straps are sewn to the cushion and knot around the seat rails, which is what keeps it from sliding forward when you transfer.
- The underside is waterproof vinyl, so a spill runs off the cushion rather than soaking into the foam.
- The maker rates the cushion to 250 lb.
What is the cover like?
- A fluid resistant stretch top over a waterproof vinyl bottom, both the maker's own material specification for this cushion.
- Drive prints no washing instruction for the cover.
- The foam is aerated rather than solid, and the maker's flammability standard for it is TB117.
How does it compare?
The Drive compressed coccyx cushion is the same general use foam idea with a coccyx cut-out, the Drive Balanced Aire replaces the foam with adjustable air cells, and the J2 Series is a foam cushion with a fluid pad for longer sitting.
