Description
RGK designs the Club Sport for more than one sport. Basketball, tennis and rugby are the examples on the maker's page.
Who it suits
- A beginner who wants to try basketball, tennis or rugby before choosing one sport.
- A club or school that needs one chair to fit different players.
- A player who wants a fixed tennis chair, made only for court play, should look at the GrandSlam Series.
What is set on the chair
- Chrome moly frame. Camber bar at 18 degrees. Quick-release single anti-tip.
- Four seat-height choices, four seat-width choices and four wheel-size choices.
- Backrest height 250 to 300 mm, in 25 mm steps. Centre of gravity is adjustable.
- Footrest adjusts in height, angle and length. Sideguards are aluminium and screw in.
- Casters are 72 mm. The cushion is 5 cm foam, or hard plastazote on the tall seat option.
Limits to know
- The manual's maximum load is 125 kg (275 lb). A heavy-duty frame is listed at 158 kg.
- Listed chair weight starts at 11.8 kg (26.0 lb).
- The manual limits it to level sporting surfaces. It is not for curbs or bumpy ground.
- Contact in sport is expected. The manual says injury from that contact sits with the user.
- Book a free home assessment so the seat settings are chosen for the person who will play.
How it compares
The RGK GrandSlam Series is built for tennis only, made to measure for quad and open play.
The RGK Match Point is the adjustable tennis chair, not a multi-sport frame. For daily pushing, see rigid wheelchairs and the wheelchair range.
Frequently asked questions
Can one Club Sport be used for tennis and basketball?
Yes. RGK lists basketball, tennis and rugby as uses, and aims the chair at beginners, clubs and schools.
Is the camber angle a choice?
The maker prints one camber bar angle, 18 degrees. It does not print a second angle for this chair.
Does an anti-tip come with the chair?
Yes. RGK lists a quick-release single anti-tip among the Club Sport's standard parts, with the straps and sideguards.
Can this chair go over a curb?
No. The manual says it is for level sporting surfaces, not for curbs or uneven, bumpy ground.
