Savaria Patient Care Span F500P full-body floor lift

The Savaria Patient Care Span F500P is an electric floor lift for a person who cannot help with the transfer.

Who is this full-body lift for?

Use it when a caregiver has to do the whole move, including for someone with little or no leg strength.

• Rated 500 lb (228 kg). Over that, look at a heavy duty patient lift.
• If the person can bear weight on at least one leg, the Span F500S is a different lift.

Will it fit the doorway, the bed and the chair?

Check the closed base at the door, then the open base around the chair or commode.

• Closed outside width 24.9 in (632 mm). Open outside width 42.9 in (1090 mm).
• Base length 44.9 in (1140 mm). Front clearance 4.5 in (114 mm), so it rolls under many low beds.
• A handle opens the legs and they lock. The boom runs from 25.8 in (655 mm) to 69.1 in (1755 mm).

Which sling fits, and what stays a separate order?

The lift ships with a 6-point bar. The sling is not in that list.

• The manual names Span universal, hygienic, disposable and Sani clip slings, and an Invacare replacement chart.
• A 2-point bar, a scale, a second battery and a charging cradle are optional.
• We confirm the F500P serial and the sling code before ordering. Other booms are in our electric floor lifts.

How should a caregiver run the lift?

The person faces the caregiver and stays centred over the base.

• Release the caster brakes before the boom moves.
• If the load is too high, lifting stops. Lowering with the down button still works.
