Description
The Geo-Mattress HC is Span's thinner home-care foam mattress, folded so it can ship in a box.
Who is it for?
- Span says it is meant to help prevent pressure injuries at home. The limit is 250 lbs (113 kg). Over that, choose another model.
- It is one foam layer in three cross-cut zones, inside a fluid-proof nylon and vinyl cover. There is no pump.
- The HC page does not describe a heel slope. Do not expect the sloped heel that Span prints on other Geo-Mattress models. See foam mattresses.
Which size fits?
- All three are 35" (89 cm) wide and 5" (13 cm) high. SP812-29 is 75" (191 cm). SP810-29 is 80" (203 cm). SP811-29 is 84" (213 cm).
- The mattress weighs 17 lbs (8 kg). Span says it is folded and boxed.
- A 5" mattress sits lower than a 6" one. Recheck rail height. Health Canada flags gaps over 120 mm (4 3/4 in) in zones 1 to 3. See hospital beds and the size guide.
Care and warranty
- Span describes that cover as cleanable and replaceable, and as standing up to fire, fluid and tears. The same note says the pleats reduce hammocking. Machine-wash steps are not printed.

Does the HC have a heel slope?
The HC page does not describe one. Other Span foam mattresses do. Do not assume it is on this model.
What is the weight limit?
250 lbs (113 kg). The bed's own limit still applies if it is lower.
Why is it folded?
Span says it is folded and boxed to cut freight and storage. Unfold it fully before anyone lies on it.
