Description
The Savaria Patient Care Span F600B is a bariatric electric floor lift rated to 600 lb (273 kg).
Who is a 600 lb floor lift for?
Use it when the person needs the caregiver to do the transfer, including someone with no ability to stand.
- Two or more caregivers may be needed. Span asks you to look at mobility, weight, size and how much the person can help.
- If the person can bear weight and stand, a sit-to-stand lift is a different kind of help. The Span F500S is that other product.
Will the base clear the door and a low bed?
Measure the closed base at the doorway, then the open base around the chair.
- Closed outside width 26.4 in (671 mm). Inside width with the legs open is 39.3 in (998 mm).
- Outside width fully open is 44.3 in (1125 mm). Base length is 46.9 in (1191 mm).
- Base height is 4.7 in (119 mm). A foot pedal opens the legs.
How far does the boom travel?
It can start at the floor and finish on a higher surface.
- At the 6-point bar, the range is 21.5 in (546 mm) to 68.6 in (1742 mm). The upright mast is 51.3 in (1303 mm).
- A sling is not listed as standard. See other heavy duty patient lifts.
What powers it, and what is extra?
A plug-in charger charges the 24 V pack while it stays on the lift. A charging cradle is optional.
- If the pendant is missing, the control unit can still raise and lower.
- A scale is not in the feature list. The scale file on the Span page is a separate accessory.
Frequently asked questions
Do I always need a second caregiver?
Not by default. Span says two or more may be required once you have looked at weight, size and how much the person can help.
Can I charge the battery without taking it off?
Yes. The plug-in charger charges it in place, and a separate cradle is optional rather than required.
What happens if the load is over the limit?
Lifting stops. Span says an alert sounds and shows, and the lift will not keep raising once capacity is passed.
