Description
The Switch-It buttons and switches range gives a power wheelchair user another way to drive or to work a seating function when a joystick is out of reach.
Who are Switch-It switches for?
The maker designs them for riders who need a lighter touch, a larger target, or a movement other than the hand. The Micro Light Switch needs 0.4 oz (11.3 g) of pressure.
Will a switch work with my power chair?
Every model ends in a 1/8" (3.5 mm) mono plug, the input Switch-It hubs and most control systems take. The Flex Switch is the exception: a proximity sensor for the VersaGuide, VersaGuide EZ and Dual Pro controls only. Bring the chair to our showroom or book a free home assessment and we will confirm the plug.
How is a switch mounted and set up?
Most models take a universal mounting plate, and the Micro Light its own. The Micro Light, Spec and Egg Switches also carry threaded inserts in the base. The Link-It system then places the switch where the user reaches it best, on a head, arm, knee or back support.
Which models and colours can I choose?
Switches come as the 2.5", 1" Single, Micro Light, Spec, Egg, Wobble and Twister models, and the Mini Button as one, two or four buttons. Black is sold on every model, with blue, green, red, yellow and orange on some.

Delivery, service and warranty
We fit the switch to the chair, set its position and show the user how to reach it. Sunrise Medical sets the coverage on Switch-It electronics, so we confirm the period in writing with your quote. The maker's documents are on our documents page.
How does it compare?
If the joystick is the problem rather than the buttons, see our power wheelchairs and wheelchair accessories.
Frequently asked questions
How light is the touch on the Micro Light Switch?
0.4 oz (11.3 g) of pressure, with a click and a tactile response.
Can a switch drive the chair instead of the joystick?
The maker says its switches work as inputs for drive control systems. We check your control system first.
How many buttons can one switch have?
One, two or four on the Mini Button, with a plug for each button.
Do you fit the switch to my chair?
Yes, and we show the family how to move it.
