Description
The Holmes UC830 is a one-zone lift chair: the back and footrest travel as one, then the chair raises you to stand.
Golden Technologies no longer lists this model in its current Canadian line-up. Ask us about remaining stock or the current replacement.
Who is it for?
- A medium/large user, up to 375 lbs (170 kg), who wants a simple 3-position chair.
- Not if you need the back and the footrest at different angles. Look at an infinite position lift chair.
- Not if you want heat or massage. This model does not offer either.
- Golden Canada does not list the Holmes on its current lift-chair page. This model is not offered as a current chair.
Will the Holmes fit?
- Width between the arms: 23" (584 mm). Overall width: 38.5" (978 mm).
- Seat height: 20.5" (521 mm). Seat depth: 20" (508 mm). Back height: 30.5" (775 mm).
- Leave 20" (508 mm) behind the chair for a full recline.
- Golden does not publish a user-height range or a minimum doorway. Book a free home assessment if you are between sizes.
- Measurements can change with fabric and carpet. The sheet was taken on a concrete floor.
Use and care limits
- One comfort zone. You cannot set the footrest and the back independently.
- A battery backup is listed. The sheet does not name the battery or a runtime.
- No USB port. The hand control routes inside the arm.
- The literature also prints an UltraComfort mark. We sell it as a Golden Technologies chair and confirm the brand plate before you order.
- Do not exceed 375 lbs (170 kg).
Compare
- Pride Heritage LC-358: another 3-position lift chair, with its own size and fabric.

Frequently asked questions
Is the footrest extension already on the chair?
The sell sheet marks footrest extension as yes, not as a separate option. We confirm it is on the chair you order.
Which fabric colour does the Holmes come in?
The sheet shows a swatch and does not print a colour name. Ask us which cloth is shipping now.
What happens if the power goes out?
A battery backup is listed. The sheet does not say which battery, or that the chair will run for hours.
Funding, delivery and warranty
Funding may help: see who may help pay. Lift chairs are excluded from free shipping under our shipping policy.
The US sheet states lifetime on the frame, lift and recline, 3 years on electrical parts (pro-rated in years 4 to 7), and 1 year on labour, fabric, foam and coils. We confirm Canadian terms before you order. See warranty service.
