Description
47318 is a Span UltraMax pad for a stretcher. Span prints it as 75 inches long and 26 inches wide.
Read the size line carefully
- The maker's code line is 75"L x 26"W - 7"H - 0"F. H and F are not defined on the page, so we do not treat 7" as the mattress height or 0" as a foam thickness.
- Other codes on the same page use different H and F marks, and some are wider than 26". This page is 47318 only.
- The stretcher deck has to match 26" (66 cm) by 75" (191 cm). A hospital-bed mattress will not fit. See hospital beds only if you actually need a bed, and the size guide for deck measuring.
Weight and build
- Span prints up to 700 lbs (318 kg) for the stretcher UltraMax line, and about 20 lbs (9 kg) for the pad. We confirm the 700 lb figure for 47318, and the stretcher's own limit still applies if it is lower.
- The seat uses Span's UHP 500 foam. The top is a Geo-Matt surface. A softer heel section is meant to let the heels sink in. Silicone-coated bands on the cover's underside are Span's shear-transfer zones at the heels, sacrum and scapulae.
- Hook strips on the bottom are there to catch common stretcher decks. Confirm the deck fabric before you rely on them. See medical mattresses for surfaces that are not stretcher pads.
Cover and warranty
- The cover is a fluid-resistant, antimicrobial, bi-directional stretch fabric with a flapped zipper. Span says it stands up to bleach and other harsh disinfectants. Follow the stretcher maker's cleaner list as well.
