Description
The Span America PressureGuard APM2 digital control unit is the pump for the PressureGuard APM2 and APM2 Safety Supreme mattress systems. It hangs on the bed footboard and joins the mattress with quick-connect airlines, and indicator lights show low pressure and power failure. A selectable audible alarm warns of either.
The indexed comfort setting adjusts firmness, and a timed 20-minute Auto Firm mode supports transfers and caregiving before returning to the chosen mode. The mattress toggle switch selects alternating pressure or lateral rotation on a 10-minute cycle, or a float mode for powered flotation therapy. The maker gives the control unit an 18-month warranty.
Fitting and service are handled by our technicians. The unit is ordered as a spare part for a mattress you already own. The maker's 350 lb weight limit is set for the APM2 surface it is used on, not for the control unit.
