Easy Air LR adds lateral rotation. The standard Easy Air does not.
Who is it for?
- Someone who may need turning assist as well as alternating pressure or Float.
- 500 lbs in Float and alternating modes. 350 lbs while rotation is on. The bed's limit also applies. Under 120 lbs, the control unit has a Max Immersion setting.
- A wider bariatric surface without rotation is Easy Air XL.
- If you will never use rotation, you do not need the LR model.
Will it fit?
- Lengths 75, 80 or 84 in. Widths 35, 39, 42 or 53 in. All are 7 in high. Not every length exists in every width.
- Examples: L8035LR-29 is 80 x 35. 92726 is 80 x 42. 42137 is 84 x 42. L8053LR-29 is 80 x 53. L8453LR-29 is 84 x 53.
- Measure the deck. Check the gap at the rails.
- On the LR, Span credits Safety Edge with helping minimize falls and entrapment. It does not replace rails.
Power and the cover
- Savaria says it does not lose inflation in a power outage or while you move the bed.
- Auto Firm runs about 30 minutes for a transfer, then should be set back. There is a lockout and a normal/low pressure light.
- The outer coverlet wipes clean. It is zippered and machine-launderable, then air dried.

Frequently asked questions
Does standard Easy Air turn the person?
No. Savaria says the standard Easy Air has no lateral rotation. This is the LR system, which does.
Will it stay up if the power fails?
Savaria says it does not lose inflation in a power cut.
Can a 500 lb person use rotation?
No. Rotation is rated 350 lbs. Float and alternating pressure are the modes rated to 500 lbs.
