Easy Air XL is the wide Easy Air. It does not add lateral rotation.
Who is it for?
- A person from 350 to 1,000 lbs (159 to 454 kg) who needs alternating pressure or Float on a wide deck. The bed's limit also applies.
- If you need turning assist, this is the wrong model. Easy Air LR has rotation, at a lower weight limit.
- Under 350 lbs, a standard-width alternating mattress is the closer match. See alternating pressure mattresses.
- Savaria also makes an 86 x 42 in system (62507): ask us about it.
Will it fit?
- L8042XL-29 is 80 x 42. L8048XL-29 is 80 x 48. L8053XL-29 is 80 x 53.
- L8442XL-29 is 84 x 42. L8448XL-29 is 84 x 48. L8453XL-29 is 84 x 53. All are 7 in high.
- Measure the deck. A 53 in mattress needs a frame that wide. Check the gap at the rails.
- For the wide XL surface, Span says Safety Edge helps minimize the risk of falls and bed entrapment. It does not replace rails.
Power and warranty
- Alternating pressure uses a 22-minute cycle. Float is the other mode. Auto Firm runs for about 30 minutes for transfers and care.
- Savaria says it does not deflate during a power cut or while the bed is moved.
- The control unit runs on 120 V AC, 60 Hz, 1.0 A and weighs 6 lbs.
- Savaria's warranty: mattress 3 years, cover 2 years, control unit 2 years.

Does Easy Air XL rotate the person?
No. Its modes are alternating pressure and Float. Rotation is the LR model.
Will it hold air in a power cut?
Savaria says it does not deflate during a power interruption.
How long does Savaria cover the mattress and the pump?
Three years for the mattress core. The cover and the control unit each carry two years.
