Description
The Comforter PR531 is a one-zone chair in seven sizes. Two of those sizes raise the limit from 400 lbs (181 kg) to 500 lbs (227 kg).
Who is it for?
- Someone who wants the back and footrest to move together, and a size range that includes wide and tall.
- Not someone over 500 lbs (227 kg), and not someone over 400 lbs (181 kg) unless the size is medium/wide or tall/wide.
- Not a person who needs the back and footrest to move separately.
Pick the size by the seat, not the name
Labels: PS petite/small, MED medium, LAR large, TAL tall, SXW small/wide, MXW medium/wide, TXW tall/wide. A free home assessment helps if two sizes look close.
- Seat width 21" (533 mm) on PS and MED. LAR, TAL and SXW are 23" (584 mm). MXW is 27" (686 mm). TXW is 29" (737 mm).
- Seat height runs from 19" (483 mm) on PS to 22.5" (572 mm) on TAL. The full list is in Specifications.
- SXW, MXW and TXW do not have a pocketed coil seat. The other four sizes do.
- Wall clearance is as low as 16" (406 mm) on the petite/small.
What stays off the standard chair
- Heat and vibrating massage are optional. There is no power headrest, power lumbar, Twilight, HeatWave or Nirvana.
- Battery backup is listed as 9 volt.
- Fabrics are Anchor, Bittersweet, Oxford, Port and Sandstorm. The coating is stain defence, not a waterproof cover. Shown in Anchor.

Frequently asked questions
Are all seven sizes the same item?
No. Each size has its own item number: PR531-PSA, MED, LAR, TAL, SXW, MXW and TXW. Contact us to confirm the exact model, size and price before you order.
Which sizes hold 500 lbs?
Medium/wide (PR531-MXW) and tall/wide (PR531-TXW). The other five are 400 lbs (181 kg).
Will heat be on the chair?
Only if it is added. Golden lists heat and vibrating massage as an option, not standard.
