Description

The JAY GO is Sunrise Medical's light tension adjustable wheelchair back for basic comfort needs. Sunrise builds it as a 1 1/4 in soft foam insert held in a covered strap assembly that wraps the back canes with Velcro. Widths run 12 to 26 in, in short and tall heights.

Who it is for

Sunrise describes the JAY GO as simple, comfortable support for a wide variety of users. Its rating scale places it below the JAY J3 and Zip backs for lateral stability, so it suits basic postural support rather than firm lateral control.

How it mounts and adjusts

The padded Velcro sleeves wrap around virtually any back cane diameter and need no tools. Wide straps sit close together behind the cover flap, and width adjustment runs +2 to +4 in. It fits all frame tubing.

How to choose the size

The short back is 12 in high and fits back heights of 10 to 14 in with four straps; the tall back is 14.5 in high and fits 15 to 19 in with five straps. Send the back cane width and the back height you need on the seating quote form.

Cover, care and weight limits

The Dartex coated Lycra cover wipes clean and machine washes warm with the foam removed; the Micro Climatic cover is the other option. Wipe the strap assembly only, and check it every six months. The back carries 300 lbs at 12 to 21 in and 500 lbs at 22 to 26 in.
