Description
The JAY LitePro is Sunrise Medical's low profile cushion for active wheelchair users. It stands 2 in tall, weighs 2 lbs, and is built of a pre-contoured closed cell foam base and a multi-zone elastomer insert.
How the insert works
The patent-pending insert gives up to 1.6 in of immersion. A pair of standard pressure adjustment pods sits on its underside, and a pair of firm pods is an option. Sunrise asks that pods be changed only at a clinician's direction.
Sizes and fitting
Thirty standard sizes run from 14 x 14 in to 20 x 20 in; other widths and depths are made to order. Match the cushion width to the seated hip width, and let the length reach to within 1 to 2 in of the back of the knees. Send those measurements on the seating quote form.
Moisture and weight limits
The base is perforated with horizontal and vertical air channels and the cover is Sunrise's AirExchange microclimate cover with a non-slip mesh bottom. Sunrise measures 45 per cent better humidity transfer than a traditional air cushion. The cushion carries 330 lbs.
Care
The cover machine washes warm at 60 C and dries low. The insert is hand washed or machine washed without pressure, and the foam base is wiped, never submerged. Check the cushion monthly for compression.
Ordering and funding
Every size is quoted, so tell us the width and depth and we confirm the item number and price. Funding may help: see who may help pay.
Mobility Specialties is an ADP registered vendor. Made to order sizes are non-returnable; see the return policy. Sunrise warrants the base and insert for 24 months and the removable cover for six months, excluding punctures, tears and burns; claims go through our service department. Other cushions are under wheelchair cushions.
