Description
The Matrx Vi cushion from Motion Concepts is a foam wheelchair cushion built for skin protection, comfort and stability. It pairs a soft high resilience foam top with a firm shaped base and a visco-elastic insert at the ischial and sacral area.
What is inside the Matrx Vi?
- Three foam elements: a molded soft high resilience overlay with a pre-ischial contour, a molded visco-elastic ischial relief insert, and a molded firm high resilience base shaped to prevent bottoming out.
- The maker treats the top layer with Ultra-Fresh for antibacterial and odour protection, and shapes the cushion with a waterfall front, a rear cushion radius, an abductor, an adductor and a trochanteric shelf.
Which size do I order?
- The standard MA-Vi comes in widths of 14", 16", 18", 20" and 22", with depths from 15" to 20"; the paediatric and heavy duty builds cover other sizes.
- A 22 in depth needs a separately confirmed cushion build and load rating. Measure the seat width and depth with your seating professional before ordering.
Covers and care
- Every cushion ships with a Meshtex outer cover, moisture resistant and breathable, plus a slip resistant base, hook and loop fasteners, a lifting strap and an orientation diagram.
- Inside it, a zippered wipeable Startex cover adds moisture protection and opens for cushion modifications. Replacement covers are available; read our return policy before ordering a custom build.
Frequently asked questions
Does a larger size confirm a heavy-duty build?
No. A deeper or wider size alone does not identify the cushion build. Confirm the ordered model and its load rating before use.
How high is the Matrx Vi cushion?
2.75" or 3.25" in the standard build, with 2.5" at the leg trough.
Do the covers come with the cushion?
Yes. A Meshtex outer cover and a zippered Startex inner cover both ship with it.
Can the Vi be modified for a leg length discrepancy?
Yes. Motion Concepts offers custom modifications for leg length discrepancies and special sizes; ask us to quote one.
