Description
The MK 8A22NF, also marked M22NF SLD A, is one 12 V sealed AGM battery in Group 22NF. It weighs 37 lbs (17 kg).
Which power chairs and scooters does this battery fit?
Order it when the label you remove says AGM, 12 V, Group 22NF, and the terminal is a G post, not an M6 insert and not a flag.
- Pride Jazzy EVO 614: Two 12 V NF-22 batteries, AGM or gel. This part is the AGM, with a G terminal.
- Quantum Q6 Edge 2.0 and Q6 Edge 3: Two 12 V NF-22 batteries, AGM or gel. The terminal still has to match.
- Quantum Q6 Edge 3 Stretto: 40 Ah or 55 Ah NF-22. The 55 Ah setup is the one this rating matches. The terminal still has to match.
- Fortress 1700, 3-wheel and 4-wheel: Sunrise requires gel. This AGM does not qualify.
What must match the old battery?
- Read maker, part number, 12 V, amp-hours, and the word AGM. Gel is the wrong chemistry.
- Look at the terminals. This part is a G (T881). An M6 insert or a flag is a different battery, even at 55 Ah.
- Measure the case. MK's sheet says 9.60 in long including the handle, 5.47 in wide, and 9.24 in high including the terminal.
How many and how should they be charged?
Buy two 8A22NF batteries when both boxes are this AGM part. Do not mix gel with AGM, and do not leave an old battery beside a new one.
Frequently asked questions
Is this gel or AGM?
AGM. The gel Group 22NF from MK is the 8G22NF. Do not mix one of each in the same chair.
Is this the same battery as the Interstate DCM0055?
No. Both are 12 V AGM batteries around 55 Ah in Group 22NF. The DCM0055 uses an M6 insert. Match the terminal, not only the group.
Will it fit a Fortress 1700?
No. Sunrise requires gel in that scooter. Use a gel Group 22NF and measure it. Do not install this AGM.
