Which scooters does this battery fit?
Order it when the label you remove says AGM, 12 V, Group 27, about 92 Ah, and the terminal is an SAE post with a stud. MK's mobility battery table does not list the 8A27. A Group 22NF battery is the wrong case.
- Pride Pursuit XL: Pride allows Group 24 (75 Ah) or Group 27 (92 Ah), AGM or gel. The usual Canadian setup is Group 24.
- Pride Pursuit ES: Current Pursuit ES takes Group 24, not Group 27.
- Afiscooter S3 and S4: Not this battery. The 8A27 is 12.72 in (323 mm) long, and those scooters are not a Group 27 fit.
It does not fit a Group 27 box.
What must match the old battery?
- Read maker, part number, 12 V, amp-hours, and the word AGM. 92 Ah at 20 h is this part. 100 Ah is the 100-hour rate on the same sheet, not a different voltage.
- Look at the terminals. This part is a U terminal: an SAE post and a stud. A G post or an insert is a different battery.
- Measure the case. The spec sheet says 12.72 x 6.80 x 9.31 in, height including the terminal. MK's traffic table prints a different size in centimetres (32.59 x 16.66 x 24.00 cm).
How many and how should they be charged?
Buy two 8A27 batteries when both boxes are this AGM Group 27 part. Do not mix gel with AGM, and do not leave an old battery beside a new one.

Will it fit a Pride Pursuit XL?
Pride allows Group 24 or Group 27 on that scooter, AGM or gel. This is the Group 27 AGM.
Will it fit a Pursuit ES or an Afiscooter?
No. The current Pursuit ES takes Group 24. The Afiscooter S3 and S4 are not a Group 27 fit.
Can I take this battery on a plane?
MK rates it non-spillable by ICAO, IATA and DOT. The airline still approves the scooter and can refuse. Each battery weighs 61.5 lbs.
