Description
Q6709 widens a Rexx or Advantage grid deck to 42 inches. ReadyWide beds already change width on the frame, so they do not use this kit.
Which bed is this kit for?
- An Advantage grid deck, or a Rexx grid deck in service. Rexx is legacy.
- Not ReadyWide, and not the 39 in kit Q6633.
How does it go on the deck?
- Corner retainers come off first. Six units latch to the head, knee and foot sections with no tool.
- Half rails remount with a 5/32 in hex wrench. Tell us the bed model and serial and we confirm the fit before you order.
Rails are separate: see bed rails. This kit is listed with the Advantage bed.

Frequently asked questions
Will Q6709 fit a ReadyWide frame?
The maker sheet does not list it for that frame, because ReadyWide width is built in. Send the model and serial so we can confirm.
Can the six units come off again?
Yes. The kit box stores the units so they can come off for a narrow doorway and go back on later.
Does the kit include assist rails?
No. It accepts the Span MC half head rails the bed already has, and those rails are a separate order.
