Description
DELTA-204 is the Span Delta overlay cut for a crib. The rest of the Delta range uses other codes.
Who is it for?
- Span rates Delta for patients under 70 lbs (32 kg). This code is the crib size, not an adult bed.
- Span says it is designed to ease head and scapular pressure, because an infant's head is large and babies often lie on their backs.
- The care team still chooses the surface. This is an overlay, not a monitor and not a powered mattress. See foam mattresses for an adult replacement.
How is the pad built?
- Size: 26.5" (67 cm) by 53" (135 cm) by 2.75" (7 cm).
- The middle layer has 5-sided cuts so the body can sink in, while the top stays flat.
- Span says that flat top may assist in eliminating breathing interference when the child lies prone. It does not replace positioning care or a breathing monitor.
- Span calls the foam safe, non-toxic and heat-resistant. No cover, warranty or pad weight is printed on the product page.
What is not this code?
- DELTA-200 is the isolette pad. DELTA-202 is the warmer pad. DELTA-120 and DELTA-C11 are the long bed overlays. None of those are in this box.
- Measure the crib mattress before you order. A pad that is short or narrow leaves a gap. Health Canada flags gaps over 120 mm (4 3/4 in) in zones 1 to 3.
