Description

Model EIZ22 is a folding pediatric chair with static tilt. A caregiver sets the angle and pushes. Sunrise does not say the child propels it.

Who it suits

  • A child who needs a set tilt, not a seat that rocks through the day.
  • Families who fold the chair for a car. The maker codes it as a tilt wheelchair that looks and works like a stroller.

How the tilt works

Tilt is static. It is set at 10, 20 or 30 degrees, and changing it takes tools. The manual shows a tilt pin moved with allen wrenches.

Recline is separate. The seat-to-back angle is 85, 90, 95 or 100 degrees, and a caregiver changes it without tools.

Check the fit

  • Seat widths are 10, 12, 14, 16 and 18 in. Depth runs from 10 to 19 in.
  • Each width has its own depth band, and that band includes up to 5 in of growth.
  • The frame is silver and black and folds in one step. Seat the child only after it is locked open.
  • The page lists transport size as 34 by 25.5 by 16.75 in, without naming which number is the width. A home assessment measures the open chair at home.

Limits

  • Capacity is 250 lb (113 kg), rider plus items carried. The same 250 lb is the occupied-transit limit the page prints.
  • Chair weight is 30 lb (13.6 kg), given for lifting the chair in and out of a vehicle.
  • The package includes transit and the page cites ANSI/RESNA WC-19. A build can omit transit. Without it, do not ride in a moving vehicle.

Compare the other tilt chairs

The Zippie TS is a 45 degree pivot tilt at 165 lb. The Zippie IRIS rotates 40 or 55 degrees. The Quickie IRIS is the adult chair. See pediatric wheelchairs and tilt wheelchairs.

Frequently asked questions

Will a child push this, or does a caregiver?

The maker codes it as a tilt wheelchair. It folds and is pushed like a stroller, with a set tilt rather than a rocking seat.

Can I change the tilt without tools?

No. Tilt is set at 10, 20 or 30 degrees with tools. Recline, from 85 to 100 degrees, does not need tools.

Can the child ride in a car?

The package includes transit, and the page cites WC-19. A build can omit transit. Without it, do not ride in a moving vehicle.
